New Vervine Show: Vervine 013

We're into the final quarter of 2025 and so it's time for a new Vervine show, a radio series hosted by Andrew Heath and I. This is the 13th episode of these 2 hour specials which feature music from our labels Whitelabrecs and Driftworks, alongside music from the wider scenes.

Vervine started out in 2022 as a space where I could share my pretty eclectic musical taste, John Peel or Gilles Peterson style. I came up with the name by combining the word 'verve' (meaning flavour), and then adding 'ine' at the end, meaning 'of' something. So I guess this means 'of flavour'. All of this year, since the launch of Whitelabrecs' sister label Driftworks, Andrew Heath has joined me for the second hour to add a fresh voice and a little variety.

October's episode is a special one, as I share the live vinyl mix I played at the Woodbridge Ambient Festival last month. You can hear a few of the records I'd been gathering and preparing for this special event, where I'd taken my pride and joy Technics 1210 turntables, which I had paid to be restored in the summer.

In hour two, Andrew shares some of the latest releases on Driftworks including from his new Tone Series. There are both recent releases and ones that are not yet out, as well as a couple of classics from Ambient heavyweights Brian Eno and Élian Radigue.
