Step into Vignettes by UK composer and artist Adrian Lane and explore 18 short cinematic moods.
Adrian Lane, hailing from Southend, Essex, UK, returns to Whitelabrecs with his latest masterpiece, 'Vignettes'. Including his previous releases with us which include 'The Fleet' (2021) and 'Missing The Crows' (2022), Lane's discography now spans an impressive 14 albums including releases on labels such as Preserved Sound, Hibernate, Oscarson and Chitra, alongside his own self-released projects.
Adrian's work is influenced by luminaries such as Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Johan Johannson, Hildur Gudnadottir, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and whilst these influences can be felt in 'Vignettes', it showcases Lane's own mastery, with tracks alternating between piano and string quartet compositions, evoking fleeting moments of emotional depth.
True to its name, 'Vignettes' unfolds like a series of evocative snapshots, each track a concise yet profound journey inspired by haiku poems. Complete with Lane's own photomontage artwork, this album promises to captivate listeners with its rich sonic landscapes and cinematic storytelling.
'Vignettes' is available in a limited run of 100 gatefold vinyl-effect CDrs and in various high-quality digital formats. You can order your physical or digital copy today by clicking HERE!
