Step into Boat by UK based artist Low Altitude and explore night-time seascapes inspired by the Pembrokeshire coast.
Embark on a serene voyage with Low Altitude as they join the Whitelabrecs family with the album 'Boat'. Hailing from Belfast, raised in Manchester, and now settled in the tranquil Welsh countryside, Low Altitude is a project by Bruce Magill, bringing together the creative learnings of a musical journey that spans over three decades.
Bruce's musical evolution traces back to his roots as a frontman in local guitar bands, eventually transitioning into solo exploration and electronic production. In recent years, Bruce's work has covered a range of projects, including collaborations with the wellbeing app Syntropy States and participation in the Sony-sponsored immersive audio compilation, 'Immersive London Calling'. He spent some time away from making music until the tumultuous year of 2020, which sparked a renaissance for Bruce: "After a 14-year hiatus from music, I found solace and inspiration during the lockdowns of 2020". At Whitelabrecs, we discovered Bruce's work with his album 'Waves' 2022 and we were delighted when he got in touch to send his new album.
'Boat' stands as a testament to Bruce's creative process, drawing inspiration from modern minimalism, astral jazz, and cinematic soundscapes. The album explores emotions anchored by a recurring drone motif, evoking the sensation of sailing under the moonlit sky. It also serves as a postcard of a 2022 coastal retreat along the Pembrokeshire coast, capturing the essence of nature and an environment which we're also very fond of.
'Boat' is available in a limited run of 100 gatefold vinyl-effect CDrs and in various high-quality digital formats. Don't miss the chance to experience Low Altitude's sonic voyage. Order your copy today by clicking HERE!
