Over the course of December I got my act together and prepared the first Vervine show for 2025 and this one includes a special guest! As followers of Whitelabrecs may already know, 2025 marks the launch of a sub-label called Driftworks, led by Andrew Heath. So I invited Andrew to send me some music from the editions that will effectively launch his new venture into the world of running a record label. He also spent a few minutes introducing the music and sharing the inspiration behind how he came to start Driftworks.

This show also features another new thing for 2025; the Inner Echo community that sits behind our two record labels. I shared a blog post about this last week (click HERE to read all about it) and I thought it would be nice to ask the members of the Inner Echo to choose some records for me to play. So we have four tracks selected from the community and I've shared a little insight in this show about their selections, as well as a bit more information on what the community is all about.

Vervine shows will be quarterly rather than infrequent, so the next one will be in April and future episodes may involve Andrew a bit more, and possibly other guests. I have often used these shows to share current and forthcoming music on Whitelabrecs but also, to support other labels and artists in the scene, and sometimes reveal a little of my wide musical taste too. It's probably my only real opportunity to play DJ these days, and I really enjoy putting them together!
