Boris Billier started to work on sound-based composition in 2002, performing many acousmatic concerts until 2012. From here he started to focus on instrumental music, with a particular interest for piano. From time to time he released tracks on the web using the pseudonym of Aries Mond. At the same time, he began several collaborations with contemporary theatre, producing more and more music from his Pyrenees-based studio.
In 2018, his first album 'Come On Let's Wait' was published on Eilean Records, followed by 'Cut Off' which was released by IIKKI in March 2019. In 2019 Boris self-released 'Gaps and Shortcuts' and further self-published titles followed.
Boris has worked in Europe, Asia and North America and has played at Les Siestes électroniques, Le Printemps de Septembre, La Chapelle Saint Jacques, Okuparte, Pronomade(s), LeNnombril du Monde, Le Confort Moderne, Excentrique, Les Tombées de La Nuit, Electroni-k, FME, Les Escales Improbables de Montréal and Le Lieu Multiple to name but a few.
He has composed music for theatre companies including Baro d'evel, Groupe Merci, Le Phun, LMSA, Fet A Ma and Marta Torrents, and his original scores have been paired with many European film scenes.
