THE UNKNOWN SHAPE

The Unknown Shape is the brainchild of Tobias Dziapko, delving into the realms of Ambient and Techno music. Tobias' journey began at the age of 15, composing tracks on his home computer. There was a Yamaha PS35 in his family home and this became the starting point of his love for the keyboard and the start of his musical exploration.

By the age of 17, Tobias was ambitiously sending out demo tapes to various record labels, seeking to find a place in the music scene. After a few years he co-founded the musical projects Morgenklang and Motorunit, with early vinyl releases under these aliases appearing in 2008 on labels such as FTW-Recordingz, liebe*detail, kaato-music, and Rest!music.

In 2013, Tobias released his debut album 'Back to Bedlam' under the pseudonym Elia Vens, further solidifying his presence in the electronic music scene. His immersive DJ and live sets have left an indelible mark in underground clubs, festivals, and events like Loveparade and the Juicy Beats Festival.

Today, Tobias' main focus is The Unknown Shape, blending elements of Ambient, Techno, and Contemporary Classical music into his deeply melodic productions. This project stands as a testament to his enduring love for electronic music and his ability to weave various stylistic threads into a cohesive whole.
