New Vervine Show: Vervine 015

For the first time since September 2024, I present the quarterly Vervine show as a solo radio series. From January 2025, coinciding with the launch of his Driftworks label, Andrew Heath had been joining me for hour two - but now we have a new show alongside Elm Records and Evergreen Music called Dispatches From The Ambient Label Hub. So now, these Vervine shows will return to being a 2 hour cross-section of my wide taste in music!

To recap for those new to the show, Vervine started out in 2022 born out of my wide and varied taste in music and reputation as a crate digger. I wanted to create shows to share this eclectic taste, beyond Ambient music, very much in the vein of John Peel or my DJ hero Gilles Peterson. The name takes the word 'verve' (meaning flavour) and then 'ine' at the end, meaning 'of' something - so this series essentially means 'of flavour'.

In this episode I pick up quite a bit of Jazz-influenced records that are on the quieter side of the genre, some world gems, classics from my DJing days, new discoveries and of course, a healthy sprinkling of Ambient music - both from Whitelabrecs and beyond.
