The Ambient Label Hub formed in September 2025 as part of the Woodbridge Ambient Festival. The event was held inside the Woodbridge Shire Hall and featured four UK-based labels including Driftworks, Elm, Evergreen and Whitelabrecs. This intimate event showcased what small independent record labels have to offer for both music lovers and artists alike.
The footage from the video above was shot at the Ambient Label Hub by Elm Records' James Osland on the 20th of September 2025. It's the trailer to a documentary called 'Independent', spotlighting the value small record labels can bring to a scene, which you can watch in full HERE.
Following the success of the event, the labels decided to tie themselves together more closely through a community known as the Inner Echo - a private space for fans of the labels and their artists. Not only does it act as a 'backstage pass' for Ambient music fans, but it is also somewhere artists and creatives can go for support and inspiration from both the labels and fellow Inner Echo members. Together, the community has raised money for charity, produced blog posts and regularly participates in art and music projects too. There's even a free Social Media For Artists course for all members.
See below for a little more information on the labels, along with links where you can explore what they have to offer. You too can join the Inner Echo, by joining any label's email newsletter...
